Darrin Camilleri is running to defend a key Democratic seat in the Michigan State Senate. A former high school social studies teacher and longtime advocate for public education, workers’ rights, and environmental protection, Camilleri made history as Michigan’s first Maltese-American legislator. He helped flip the Senate in 2022 and has been central to advancing Democratic priorities and holding the line against the MAGA agenda. His re-election is essential to protecting Michigan’s Democratic gains and maintaining a strong pro-democracy Senate majority.
GOP candidates are often funded by just a few big donors, so let's show him some grassroots love!
Ryan Spaude is a lawyer, public school graduate, and fifth generation Wisconsinite who is running for reelection in the 89th Assembly District. Raised in Little Suamico by a welder and a dental hygienist, after graduating from law school Ryan worked as a prosecutor in the Brown County District Attorney’s Office where he worked to prosecute drunk drivers and keep his community safe. Ryan was originally inspired to run in 2024 after the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that the assembly districts needed to be redrawn to be fair. Ryan looked at the Republicans representing his community, knew his community deserved better, and stepped up to deliver on the issues that matter in his community.
Grassroots support makes the difference!

This key battleground seat is a vital opportunity to expand Democratic representation and build momentum across Iowa in 2026.
Strong grassroots support can keep this battleground district competitive.
By helping progressive candidates win state elections, we aim to protect voting rights, end gerrymandering, protect vulnerable or marginalized communities, enact climate actions and environmental justice now, racial and gender equity, reform the criminal justice system, end the school-to-prison pipeline, protect reproductive rights, help workers and farmers benefit from the economy, and so much more. Ryan, Darrin, and Heather will be in the critical state legislative races in WI, MI, and IA in November 2026.
This year our chapter is supporting two organizations in North Carolina and two in Tennessee. Your donation will be split across Carolina Federation Fund, We Are Down Home, Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition, and The Equity Alliance. Find out more about these organizations on the States Win Stage Bridges page.
When you donate to these organizations, you help build a multiracial movement of working people by connecting with them year round. Their grassroots organization will help empower voters, volunteers, candidates and legislatures in North Carolina and Tennessee.
States Win chapters are run by volunteers, but the national organization that gives us work and support requires funding to run. States Win Headquarters researches districts, provides field, fundraising, and strategic support to key state legislative races, supports volunteer organizers, works with candidates who lost their races so they can run again and win, runs experiments on the most efficient voter engagement tactics, and participates in civic education about the importance of state legislatures.
When you donate to States Win national organization, you help them help us empower voters, volunteers, candidates, and legislators to turn states blue.
