We are a group of dedicated volunteers in the South Bay area (part of California SF Bay), working to change the legislative landscape around the United States and build sustained progressive power in the states.
We fundraise, phone bank, write postcards, and work tirelessly to elect our candidates who will make a difference. We also participate in States Win Action Network's research to determine best practices for increasing voter participation. Read more about what we do.

In 2025 all of our candidates won in VA: Lily Franklin (HD 41), Josh Thomas (HD 21), and Leslie Mehta (HD 73). In 2024 tough elections two of our candidates won, Jodi Habush Sinykin, winning the WI Senate seat in District 8, and Brittney Miller, returning to her NV State Assembly seat. In November 2023, two of our VA candidates won and are defending the rights of Virginians in Richmond Joshua Cole (House of Delegates) and Schuyler VanValkenburg (State Senate). All of our candidates in 2022 won their elections: Darrin Camilleri (MI State Senate District 4), Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz (PA State House District 129), Mitzi Epstein (AZ Senate Legislative District 12), and Brittney Miller (NV State Assembly District 5), contributing to flipping MI Senate and PA State House blue.
We are consistently among the top States Win chapters in fundraising, phone calls, and postcards. In 2025, we contributed almost 14% of the total fundraising for the candidates and a whopping 38% of the total fundraising for State Bridges grassroots support program.
We already have our fist 2026 candidates: we will be supporting our alum Darrin Camilleri, who is running for re-election for Michigan State Senate seat in District 4. Michigan will be key political battleground in 2026. Every statewide office including governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, and attorney general will be open as all incumbents are term-limited. There is also an open U.S. Senate seat and two seats on the Michigan Supreme Court up for election. To top it off, all seats in the state senate and house are at stake. The state's closely divided electorate ensures that national attention and funding will be directed toward these key contests. Darrin’s race is critical because he has been a driving force behind advancing Democratic priorities in Michigan.
Our second candidate is Ryan Spaude, running for reelection in the WI 89th Assembly District. Wisconsin Assembly District 89 is a key defensive seat that will shape Democrats’ path to a legislative majority under the state’s fairer maps. Ryan Spaude flipped this purple, Green Bay–area district in 2024, proving that voters are ready for pragmatic leadership focused on affordability and strong public schools. With Republicans still controlling the Assembly and Senate, defending AD-89 is essential to protecting Democrat gains and building momentum toward a governing majority in Madison.
State legislatures have never been more important, impacting people's lives in many subtle and direct ways. They also can stand as a bulwark against damaging federal policies. Let's win urgent elections and build progressive infrastructure to create enduring power in state legislatures and improve communities across the country!
